We’ve heard that John Armleder is everywhere these days, and it’s true! We had the privilege of enjoying tea at his studio—a warm invitation we couldn’t resist to get to know the man behind the name.
John, in his characteristic charm, offered us sugar sachets collected from his travels to various places and hotels — a delightful and personal touch that made the moment even more charming. It’s a small but thoughtful gesture that speaks volumes about his attention to details and sense of things.
As we sat under the inspiring surroundings of his workspace, something happened. In an atmosphere of quiet concentration, we had the rare opportunity to witness John Armleder in the act of live painting—a moment of pure creative expression unfolding before our eyes. Watching an artist of his calibre at work was a truly mesmerising and humbling experience we also had the chance to capture in uniques videos.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Olivia for her foresight in bringing a camera to document this exceptional occasion. And of course, our deepest gratitude to John Armleder for graciously allowing us into his creative process and sharing with us not just his art, but his precious time and unique perspective.
